YOU do NOT get a namaste!

 Iaorana tatou.

And now we are going to slowly, gently move into popoti pose.
Imagine this:
Sœur Young is a certified yoga instructor. Every Friday morning for our workout she leads us in yoga. There we were, doing all those downward facing dogs and childs poses. And then, I lied down (laid? did lie?!?) directly on top of a popoti! A cockroach! I quickly sat up and the cockroach ran underneath Sr Day's bag.
Sr Young gets a broom to sweep the cockroach away. Mr. Cockroach makes a beeline to Sr Jorgensen. Our eyes follow his movement but suddenly we have lost his position.
Sr Jorgensen slowly stands up. There is silence in the room.

Suddenly, Sr Jorgensen starts screaming and thrashing around.

THE COCKROACH IS IN HER LONG SLEEVE T SHIRT.

Luckily, she evacuates the cockroach and he was later angrily squished by Sr Jorgensen's shoe. All is well, all is well.

A few weeks ago we found a man named Red. He does not speak any French and at first we were convinced he is just crazy. However, with the help of a member who helped translate Red, we learned this week that Red
1. Is Very interested
2. Wants to get baptized
3. Won't come to church until he has a white shirt because he wants to be all handsome and proper.
I am so excited to teach Red! Pray that he can find a white shirt this week and that our ears can one day understand his Tahitian.

I went on an exchange with Sr Day in the Faaripo ward!

I ate fafaru this week for the very first time. Voilà a recipe:
You take raw fish.
You put raw fish in salt water.
You leave it like that for a couple days? Weeks? Just as long as it takes to have the fish be as smelly and as green as you want.
Then, you put it in a bowl with fermented coconut milk. Soup!

I give it a 1/5 star yelp review. The 1 star is for the experience.

However, the absolute force of a human that is Sr Young ate a huge plate of it without even wincing. She won the hearts of all of our friends. I am jealous.

We also had a fun mission conference with all the missionaries serving on Tahiti.

Something that I really loved from the mission conference was this quote:
"There is power in alignment."
When we try to align our will and desires with that of Heavenly Father, there is power. We become more like Him, more patient and kind. When we align our wills with those of our religious leaders, the church as a whole gets stronger. When we align ourselves with our family, there is peace and love in the home. Unity is essential if we want to progress together. ✨️

Nana! Je vous aime!

Pictures!
(Know that helmets+humidity+ponytails=bad hair.)
Also look at perfectly calm Sr Young eating fafaru while baby weak Hatch struggles.
