Miracles and

Ia ora na mes merveilleuse amis!

Hello all!
This week was a wild one so strap in.

First, Bill got baptized!!! Woohoo! It was amazing. I felt so much peace at the service. I know that Bill's movements of faith this week will bless his life and the lives of so many others!
There were many miracles this week leading up to the baptism.
1. Bill called us on Thursday saying that he thought we had covid. Covid tests are really hard to come by in California apparently, so our hopes for a Saturday baptism seemed dismal. But luckily and miraculously, a ward member had access to a covid test! He helped Bill get tested and then Bill found out that he didn't have covid!
2. We were planning on going to the church building 1 hour before the baptism was going to start. However, on Saturday morning both Sister Winkler and I felt that we should be there an hour and a half early. We acted on that impression and the first thing we saw in the baptistry was a sign that said that the font takes an hour and a half to fill up!

Other things that happened this week:
We did a home visit with this awesome family. Their kids are sooo cute and lovely and kind. They are pretty much the best... But I guess that's a given because the parents are named Jeff and Jennifer (shout out to my parents)

We also visited another family with super cute kids. We did an object lesson where the kids stood on different pieces of paper representing the principles in the gospel of Jesus Christ. One girl stood on a paper, moved too fast, and ripped my terrible drawing of the world.
The dad:
"Kaya. Sister Hatch was going to give that to her mom."

In a church lesson this week, the teacher asked, "What do we have to do to make it impossible for someone to not feel welcome?"
I loved that! I would love your suggestions on answers to this question, but I personally think we can welcome others with real genuine kindness. We can uplift through smiles and compliments. We can look for their gifts and good qualities because we all have needed talents and abilities.

I literally have NO more time to write this email, so excuse the messy thoughts and the overall rambling-nature of this, but know that I love you all! You are all incredibly amazing! Look for your own gifts and look for the gifts of others. When you see goodness in someone else, point it out! I am trying to give out compliments more freely, which has turned into me yelling out of the car window on occasion.
I love you! Nana je vous aime and all that.

Sister Winkler (6ft tall) and I (not that tall) changed the chair height so we would finally see eye to eye!
