If you are going to heesh, make sure you throw in a powerstep
Gutentag!
I said Gutentag because my new companion is the lovely Sr Cloud! She is American, but because her dad is in the military she lived in Germany for a while. She is a new missionary and I love her enthusiasm and energy.
There are many dogs in Tahiti. When a dog approaches you and you want it to ~
️go away
️~, you can do this thing called yelling the word "heesh" and it will go away. On Sr Cloud's first day, literally just hours from being off the plane, she saw her first tahitian dog, who was harmless and literally just minding its own business.

Me: "huh???"
Cloud: "I think I just need to powerstep heesh him!"
Me: ?!?
Sr Cloud, stomping her feet: "HEEEEESHHH"
Needless to say I don't think anyone needs to worry about us being bitten by dogs this transfer. Sr Cloud is a powerstep missionary.
Being back in F3A has been WEIRD, but actually a huge blessing. You see, when i was in this ward 6 months ago, I was miserable and anxious and everything seemed against us and our desire to work. For example, we had no bikes and it was an hour walk just to arrive in the beginning of our area, and my companion had a lot of health issues, thus making us stay inside at our apartment most of the time. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, nothing was working. I left frustrated and pretty miserable.
This time, however, I can speak French, I'm more confident in Tahitian, I know how do to work in Tahiti, and we live in the area. Being back, I've reflected on how much I've changed- how much more confident and happy I've become since I was here. I came back thinking that no one would remember me, but many ward members greeted me with a very cheerful "Sr Hatch!", which has helped me realize that my efforts in February, not matter how mistake filled and flawed they may have been, did not go unnoticed. The work is so promising here. It's weird to be back, but I know I'm where God needs me to be.

Other events:
-Got a flat tire. It was at that very moment that we learned that we knew NONE of the vocabulary for that kind of situation. Luckily some members and our friend Ismael helped us out.
-said goodbye to Mahina et j'ai pleuré
-I walked on the side of what is essentially a tahitian freeway and I felt like I was in America. I did not enjoy.
-we lost the phone in a couch and had to take 30 minutes to find it. The neighbors got involved. J'avais honte.
My spiritual thought is just this video! Enjoy! I really loved it.

Sometimes you need to take a break and just sit in the tahitian gutters.
Pomme d'étoile! I give it 1/5 stars.
