Cats, cars, and kindness

 Iaorana tout le monde!

This week, our lovely car was taken away from us.
Seeing how we live a couple miles out of our area and Sister Dailey doesn't have a bike, our vehicle lack was frustrating.
However, when things get difficult there are still miracles and blessings so here is a list of some cool things that only occurred because we didn't have a car:
1. We needed a ride to a lesson with Jeremy! We called every member we could think of, to no avail. The lesson time was approaching and we still had no ride. Suddenly we got a call from the miraculous and incredible Sister Gonzalez! We got a ride and the lesson went really well.
2. We were walking around a neighborhood. The sun was setting and we had no ride back to our apartment, so we decided to walk to the church building! It took a half hour, but the weather was absolutely perfect and we got to walk through historic Ontario. It's gorgeous.
3. While on this walk, we were followed by cats on three separate occasions! These cat sidekicks made us giggle and laugh each time.

And the greatest blessing of all:
4. We got our car back. And because we got our car back, we got to teach Robert! We shared the Restoration and it was an amazing lesson. He is very kind and very willing to learn more!

Yesterday, Sister Dailey and I went seeking with faith. We were not feeling it- the neighborhood felt wrong, some men made some "cat-calling" comments towards us, and our knocking efforts did not lead to any conversations. Frustrated, Sister Dailey and I sat on a park bench for a few minutes. We decided to pray at the park and then went off to do more seeking. Immediately, we had opportunities to talk with Jose and Mago. Neither of these conversations led to new people or to lessons, but both of these interactions helped us feel like people again.
The lesson I want to share from this:
You never know how much good you do. Does Mago realize that him talking to us made us feel so acknowledged that Sister Dailey almost cried? Does Jose realize that his kindness was an immediate answer to out prayer?
I doubt it.

But, because these people showed kindness towards us, they brought good and joy into our day.
Just by being kind and by treating others like human beings, you can be an answer to someone's prayer. By listening or by saying hi or smiling, or really any other simple act of kindness, you can be a miracle in someone's day.
Isn't that cool?

I think it is.

I love you all!

Pictures!
1. Face masks! We have small faces so it looked a little silly.
2. Real time image of us crying after Sister Michelle Craig had her 6 year old granddaughter play violin on the Christnas devotional. It was too pure. Too precious.
3. Spooky season is not over. (I think once you put one of those up they are stuck there forever.)
4. Face masks that actually fit our faces
5. Christ Child watch party #lighttheworld
6. The Church after our long walk!
