All this Halloween candy and I still don't have enough peanut butter cups

 Bonjour mes amis! Iaorana!

I hope you all had a happy happy Halloween.
I did but, alas, I didn't really get to dress up.

However, it was still a very good week! (although extremely stressful haha)

I went to the ~consulate~ for my visa appointment on Wednesday! Sleeping in till 5 am (had to wake up at 4:30 to take a roommate to the airport the day before), I hopped into the car with a senior couple (the Costlows) and another elder!
Off to LA we went, and boy does LA live up to its stereotype of having bad freeways. The car GPS system looked a little like this:
30 miles left, 50 minutes.
20 minutes later:
30 miles left, 1 hr 4 minutes.
Luckily, we got to the vfs office early and the 45 mile trip only took 3 hours!

It is strange to say that my very first time going to LA was to go to a government office. Like going on a road trip to go to the dmv. Strange, but the appointment went well and I had a lot of fun with Elder and Sister Costlow and Elder Wilkinson.
I am extremely grateful that I got the chance to go to this appointment. Even if I never go to Tahiti as a missionary, I have done everything in my power to show that I still have that hope that it will happen. Isn't that cool? I think it is!

Other fun parts of this week:
I went on exchanges with Sister Lundberg in my area! While walking around a neighborhood, we saw a man walking behind us. We stopped walking, waited till he had caught up with us, then proceeded to walk with him for 30 minutes. (Don't worry he wasn't annoyed lol). Robert! was very interested and we taught him about the Book of Mormon. We have since texted him and he has read it and is looking forward to us meeting with him again soon! It was a wild finding experience- speedwalking while teaching the gospel- but it was very fun and exciting. Maitai roa.

We had our ward trunk or treat. Sœur Day and I tried to dress up as each other. I thought my her was pretty good but her me wasn't that great, if I'm being completely honest. Jk jk je blague je blague. (Decide for yourselves.)

We taught our friend Maria in person! She is so sweet and caring. Lessons with her are very spiritual. I love her.
Crystal did not answer any of our calls this week so please pray she is doing well.

Hector was doing so much better this week! Normally he is confined to his bedroom hooked to a breathing machine, but this week he was in his wheelchair, off oxygen, moving around the house! He was also a lot more vocal which is awesome.
We had a funny lesson with Hector and a member named Ron. Ron was very excited and invited Hector to get baptized in the first 2 minutes of the lesson. Hector mentioned his health issues and the fact that he cannot go underwater.
Absolutely precious Ron: "well you wouldn't be under very long!!"
Ron, no. He would literally die.
It did make us laugh and Ron is absolutely amazing so we were very grateful for him.

Voici ma petite pensée spirituelle to'u mau hoa!
I listened to a recent BYU devotional by Becky Craven. She told a story of a scared plane passenger being relieved when she saw her missionary tag and the words "Jesus Christ." Sister Craven then posed this question: would people know we were disciples of Christ if we didn't wear missionary tags? When people look at us, do they see Christians in actions and behavior?
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 5:16.

Love you all! Je vous aime! Ua here au ia outou!

3-4.Look at these awesome Halloween decorations! The lady gave us a ton of candy and is incredibly amazing. Her name is Angela. She has a lot of health problems but is so optimistic and fun to be around.
5. A member came up to us at church and told us her mother had gotten us a Halloween gift and wanted to give it to us. We went over that afternoon and this sweet woman in her 90s who can only hear your when you yell had got us Ghost chocolates! Her face when she gave them to us was so cute.
6. I have never straightened my hair but you do what you have to do for a Halloween costume
