Bed bugs, Benadryl, and Braveheart

 Iaorana tout le monde!

Eaha to outou huru? How are you all doing?

This week was yet again a wild one! (Turns out I don't know how to start an email so saying that the week was wild is my go-to  introduction.)
BUT!!!
This week was actually wild.
So Sister Winkler started having an allergic reaction to.... something. We aren't exactly sure what but things have gotten a lot better.
At first, the mission assumed we had bed bugs, which is a strange assumption because...
1. we are in bunk beds
2. Sister Winkler sleeps on the top bunk and I am on the bottom bunk
3. I was absolutely fine.
But we do sit on a lot of couches... so we at first treated everything as if we did have bed bugs. That first night where Sister Winkler was instructed to sleep on the couch with me in my bed was interesting. Lots of phantom bed bugs.
We eventually ruled that out, but Sister Winkler took a LOT of benadryl. The mission had her take an incredible amount of benadryl which has made this week a little crazy.
We still don't know what is causing the weird allergic reaction, but I have been amazed at how calmly both of us have been able to handle the situation.
Pray for Sister Winks!

As we walked into a member's home for dinner, we were greeted by the 8 year old daughter wearing a black-bob wig that closely resembled her mother's hair.
The impression of her mother that followed was absolutely hilarious.
"NELLIE!! Go clean up your mess!!!!"

We also met with Carolina, who is this super sweet old lady who has a lot of health problems. She was super duper sweet and we hope to meet with her again soon!

Braveheart. In a youth lesson, the teacherbused cardboard covered with hundreds of army men to teach the Book of Mormon. For dramatic effect, he played the soundtrack to Braveheart. Not going to lie, watching a man bear his testimony to dramatic music while ripping army men off of cardboard was kind of powerful.

And now, a cool story about God's perfect timing.
Last week, we were calling a bunch of people and decided to call Jean! Jean is not interested in hearing the missionary lessons, but we happened to call her the DAY after her son got home from his mission. She immediately handed the phone to Aaron, her son, who set up a meeting for us.
We met with them this Saturday! Although Jean doesn't really want to meet with us again, the meeting was soooo good. We had a wonderful discussion about life and missions and God's love. Aaron leaves for college out of state next week.
We called and met with them in the TWO WEEKS that Aaron was living with his mom in between the mission and college. For whatever reason, we really needed to meet with both of them and were guided to be able to do that in the perfect timing.
It makes me think of Smith's account of the first vision. At the very moment, the exact second he was about to give up, he saw the light. God's timing in our lives is incredibly perfect.

Love you all! Nana au revoir bye! Write me an email!
