Speedy's Speedy Recovery

 Ia ora na! Bonjour!

It's your favorite Tuahine who has yet to figure out how to do group emails on her mission phone.

Anywaysss

This week was good! Long and tiring but good!
Things that have happened:
1. We talked to this guy named Phil whose hobby is driving a remote control semi truck.
2.  We called this older woman and asked her one question. She answered the question then started talking nonstop about the psalms of David for 10 minutes. It was difficult to get off that call.
3. We taught this guy Robert! Robert is so nice but is going though a LOT right now, so pray for Robert!
4. I ate approximately too many things of fruit snacks.

There is this woman in one of our wards who has vowed to feed us every single week. It is her goal. A determination. She gets offended and her dignity is hurt if we schedule with someone else. She is fantastic. Anyways, on Saturday she was going to feed us dinner, but then let us know that she had a migraine, but had money for us to go out to dinner. We texted and said we wouldn't accept her money. We called a few minutes later and she didn't even say hello.
"Sisters come and take my money."

We also had dinner with a family with 13 year old and 16 year old boys and an 18 year old girl. Do the ages and genders of this family sound familiar? Yep, it's me and my two little brothers. It was honestly kind of weird watching them. Like a mirror. Some scientists say that if you saw yourself in real life, you wouldn't recognize yourself.

And now, before I get super bored and before I bore everyone who has gotten this far in this email.....
The subject heading!
Bill's dog is named Speedy. Speedy is a good good dog, but Speedy also happens to be the ugliest dog I have ever seen. He looks like the dog version of Phineas from Phineas and Ferb. Anyways, Speedy had a small surgery this week. Bill told us before the surgery that the last time Speedy had an operation, he almost died.
I was truly worried THAT
If Speedy had the surgery, Speedy would die.
If Speedy died, Bill would be sad.
If Bill was sad he would never talk to us again.
And if Bill never talked to us again, he would never get baptized even though he is soooo close and has made so much progress and change in his life.
I was truly stressed about Speedy's surgery.
BUT God is good and Speedy is doing fantastic! Yay Speedy!!!!

Une petite pensée spirituelle....
"For I, the Lord, have out forth my hand to exert the powers of heaven; ye cannot see it now, yet a little while and ye shall see it, and know that I am, and that I will come and reign with my people."
D&C 84:119
God, a God of miracles, is the ultimate gift giver. What is our relationship with the gift giver? Do I have a wishlist of items that I want? Or do I trust that He, the all-knowing giver, will give me what I need?
Have trust in the gift giver everyone!

Love you all! Je vous aime and have a wonderful week!
