Just a bunch of Car-less muckrakers

Iaorana to'u mau hoa e utuafare!

Bonjour mes amis et ma famille!

We met with Bill twice this week! He is so awesome and we are so excited for his baptism!

Une petite miracle from this week:
We had a frustrating meeting. After we left the meeting, I was upset at how some things were handled and I felt like an awful person. During this frustration, we got a long text from the kindest woman in one of our wards. She somehow knew exactly what we needed to hear. Simple acts of kindness can be POWERFUL!

This week, Sister Winkler and I were instructed to take our car into a body shop. Why? It was reported that our car had a scratch on it. The scratch was ~maybe~ an inch long.
But, regardless of the size of the scratch and the fact that we would not care if it was our own car, off we obedient missionaries went to the bodyshop!
That was Wednesday.
Today is Monday. We still don't have the car and have no clue when we will get it back. Sister Winkler's bike is also broken.

This situation has definitely tested our patience, BUT! I am trying to look for the positives. As we have asked ward members for rides, we have been able to build stronger relationships with the members around us.

This week I learned that "muckraking" a horse stall is exactly what it sounds like it. That's right we cleaned horse stalls! It was way fun to be around horses and goats!

An iti pensée spirituelle:
Michelle D Craig talks about "seeing others deeply" in her talk "Eyes to See" (which is a fantastic talk that I highly recommend listening to. I honestly invite all of you to stop reading this email and just read every talk she has ever given. Her stuff is soooo good!).
Everyone wants to be deeply seen. She says that we can deeply see others as we "Ask to see others as He does—as His true sons and daughters with infinite and divine potential. Then act by loving, serving, and affirming their worth and potential as prompted."
When we see others as children of God we see their divine worth and potential. I have really tried this week to show genuine kindness-kindness with no strings attached. I have a LONG way to go with this goal, but as I have tried to genuinely care and love others, I have seen that everyone has so much worth and importance.

Love you all! Je vous aime! Ua here au ia outou!
